Beautiful window wall with old iron window from Bispebjerg Hospital

En af vores kunder, which is interior designer, has converted an apartment at Islands Brygge. She has redesigned the occasion by creating two new rooms with associated ground. She has done by putting new walls with a continuous light from the courtyard to the street. In one of the walls is inserted a iron window, purchased from Rebuild. The window is originally from psykriatisk Department at Bispebjerg Hospital, but has now been given new life at Bryggen. Do-it-yourself at its best:)

inspiration – from the intercom to light, and egeplanke as toilet table

Contributions from two different Rebuild customers, we are impressed!

Christian writes about his home mela-lived lamp:
“Dear Rebuild.
I bought a few weeks ago this old intercom from MULTIVOX. For 100kr,
The plan was to build it into a lamp, which has succeeded very well.
I opened it up and looked at the innards, the old speaker had to be thrown out because it did not work so well anymore and took all the space. Sting bagpå could thankfully withstand 220V and the same with the button on the side. Drilled a hole in the top with a kop live, where after, put a socket fixed from the inside. Then there was the sound, I designed a music player with card reader using Arduino, took the amp section from an old USB player, and drilled a hole in the side for volume control. Plus an old 220v to 5v converter (the music section). Button on the front could then be used to start and switch between advertising mocking (as. 50 Advertisements are posted). Finally got soldered everything together.. Ready lamp / music player.
Hope you liked it ;-)”

See it in action below!

Jens writes about the egeplanke, he has spent on his bathroom:
“Hi Rebuild, Please allow me to attach photo of the result of a 100 year-old oak plank (seconds) and used as a dressing table. Plank I bought of you in the spring.
The plank has fået a minimal treatment, it is sanded and has been 3 oil passages Flügger Natural Wood arkitektsort, edge into space is untreated except for a little oil when I wanted a raw and natural expression ( take nature into the room and let it grow out of the wall)”
